Job Description:
The Claims department at IAT Insurance Group has multiple Auto Claims Trainee openings located in our Raleigh, North Carolina office starting in June of 2024. This position is a great entry-level career opportunity and/or a dynamic position for someone with excellent customer service experience who is interested in a career in the insurance industry. Please note, IAT works on a hybrid schedule, working from the office Monday through Wednesday with the option of working remotely Thursday and Friday.
Upon completion of the trainee program, you will be able to:
Investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and resolve Commercial Auto losses.
Follow standard practices and procedures throughout the lifecycle of the claim including customer contacts, coverage determination, investigation of the loss, evaluation, reserving and resolution.
Maintain high quality files as determined by ongoing quality file reviews.
This training will prepare you to obtain and maintain an Insurance License(s). Generally, license(s) must be obtained within three months of starting the job and obtain ongoing continuing education credits as mandated.
Performing other duties as necessary.
We’re ready to onboard a candidate with:
A four-year college degree or equivalent applicable experience (we will consider December 2023 and May 2024 graduates).
Equivalent is defined as an Associate’s degree with 2 years of insurance or relevant customer service experience.
Excellent oral and written communication, problem solving and analytical skills as well as demonstrated leadership, professionalism, organization, and time management.
Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship by employer, now or in the future.
*Current IAT employees must have been in their role for at least six months and must have received, at a minimum, a “Meets Expectations” during their performance review to be eligible for the program.
