Role Description:
In the role of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Analyst I (internally known as, ERM Analyst I), you will be part of a dynamic team where you will work closely with the ERM team. Your contributions from your modeling analyses and utilizing analytics to achieve business goals and objectives of the company will be recognized throughout Safety National.
Your day-to-day responsibilities as an ERM Analyst are:
Responsible for developing knowledge of generally accepted ERM modeling methods and new technologies or methodologies as they emerge.
Communicates key modeling fundamentals along with describing similarities and differences between the modeling platforms to supervisor.
Provides assistance as needed with:
Descriptive Analytics Projects;
Predictive Analytics Projects; and/or
Reserving
Provides technical support for the company's business and is knowledgeable about insurance company operations and generally accepted ERM modeling methodologies.
Assists in the design and improvement of on-going analytical reports and works with IS to put reports into production with the organization.
Accountable for maintaining ERM model data infrastructure and routine reporting to meet the needs of the department.
Compiles data and analyses required for Tokio Marine's ERM model including Cyber Accumulations & Risk.
Recommends and advise SNCC CRO on ERM policies and procedures including: Cyber Risk, Capital Management, and Risk Measures such as
Tolerances
Limits
Key Performance Indicators
Stress Tests
Provides analysis and reports for internal ERM metrics including a review for consistency and reasonableness for review by a more experienced catastrophe modeler or supervisor.
Creating and maintaining documentation and procedures necessary to comply with corporate policies regarding data security, backup requirements, and proper controls.

Qualifications:
Education:
A Bachelor's in in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field is required
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 1-year working experience in Enterprise Risk Management or a related field for Enterprise Risk Management Analyst I
Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively work with both Internal and External Customers.
Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, and other software in order to maintain computer models and recommend improvements.
Preferred Qualifications:
Some knowledge with programming and the use of data analysis tools such as VBA, SQL, R, or Python a plus.
Some knowledge with business intelligence and data analytics software such as Qlik, Tableau, or Power BI a plus.
