Position within the risk analytics group, to support our overall catastrophe management and reporting, and offers significant exposure to senior leadership across the organization.
Essential Functions:
Catastrophe modeling
Risk analysis and reporting, including regulatory and rating agency reporting
Pricing and rate filing support related to catastrophe modeling
Other ad hoc projects, such as:
adoption of new and updated technology and processes to refine our catastrophe tools and risk evaluation
the evaluation of catastrophe models, including model sensitivity testing and the determination of model calibration parameters
research into scientific and engineering issues relevant to catastrophe risk and in support of a view of risk
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant area – Risk Management, Statistics, Data Analytics, Mathematics or related field
Minimum of 3-5 years working in an analytics role or related field
Preferred Qualifications:
Catastrophe modeling software experience, including AIR and RMS
Data analysis, data management and statistical software programs (i.e., SQL, R, Python)
Data visualization tools such as Tableau, SpatialKey, QGIS/ArcGIS
Advanced capabilities with MS products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Experience within the insurance and/or reinsurance industry an advantage, particularly if it relates to the US Property market
