The Commercial Lines Auto Ratemaking, Analysis & Business Solutions (OAW) team is looking for a candidate to join it as a Senior Advisor. You will be involved in many diverse and exciting mandates as we look to modernize our operations, grow profitably, and achieve our ambitious strategic plan. You will be involved in more traditional projects but also new ones that involve ridesharing and the sharing economy.
Main responsibilities
Perform thorough analysis and diagnosis, recommend innovative solutions for auto rate level, segmentation, business solutions and strategic projects
Develop or supervise the development of solutions for medium to longer-term projects to solve business problems. Work closely with Commercial Lines business units including the Desjardins Exclusive Agent Network, Operations and Underwriting to understand and implement solutions
Play an integrator or coordinator role with various working groups and represent the business unit before decision-making bodies
Represent the position of Desjardins with respect to external entities and partners
Recognized as a specialist, act as a reference source and coach for colleagues and peers.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or in a related field
A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience
Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
Successful completion of at least seven CAS exams
For vacant positions available in Quebec, please note that knowledge of French is required
Specific knowledge
Knowledge of P&C insurance
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, SAS, VBA, R.
