Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
- Compiles, consolidates and analyzes actuarial information for the production of statements, schedules, filings and reports of a more complex nature.
- May act as a project lead on actuarial studies and pricing strategies.
- Develops and maintains profit studies, reserve studies, and rate files and procedures.
- Develops predictive models using advanced statistical and machine learning techniques and communicates modeling results to business unit management.
- Prepares actuarial portion of financial reports in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Statutory Accounting Principles (SAP).
- Provides actuarial analyses, responses and communications to divisional and corporate partners.
- Maintains awareness/currency of emerging issues affecting assigned divisions.
- Provides technical advice to lower level positions and other functional areas.
- May lead the work of others (mentors, prioritizes, delegates and reviews assignments).
- May have responsibility for performance and coaching of staff and may have a participatory role in decisions regarding talent selection, development, and performance management for direct reports.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
Field of Study: Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or a related discipline.
Experience: 4 to 6 years of related experience. Has attained an Associateship and typically is completing additional coursework toward Fellowship in the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS).
