Job Summary The Series Analytics Practice leader will be responsible for the delivery and coordination of quantitative analyses to help our clients make informed risk retention, mitigation and financing decisions. The practice leader will ensure this delivery is integrated into the overall Lockton offering in a seamless professional consultative way with the other brokerage offerings. The practice leader will act as the voice of the series to inform the national strategic direction of analytics across Lockton and work to integrate that national direction into the series.
Beginning Scope P&C analytics; to be expanded overtime to include financial and benefits.
Manage and mentor team of analysts responsible for quantitative projects up to and including loss projections, loss stratification, cash flow/NPV analytics, captive feasibility studies, program comparisons, loss triangle, RCS analysis/dashbords, and various financial reports used for client decision-making.
Guide and prepare spreadsheets, graphs, charts, diagrams, and other illustrative tools used in presentations.
Communicate results to internal and external clients.
Assist Team Leader, Quantitative Department Manager, Senior Consultants, Producers, Unit Managers, and Account Executives with complex accounts or special projects as requested.
Help develop and maintain educational curriculum for analysts and other Lockton Associates.
Coordinate the execution of training, development, and career growth of Associates.
Ensure execution of maintenance & development of property, casualty, benefits and financial analytical tools and models.
Build and maintain effective relationships with clients to provide best possible service on a timely basis.
Demonstrate ability to instill confidence and comfort with clients so that clients look to you and to Lockton a partner in business and not only as an insurance broker.
Coordinate quantitative resources to provide quality client service.
Have a full understanding of when and how to provide effective risk management services and coordinate the Risk Practice Groups’ involvement with the account.
Responsible for introducing, developing and monitoring the total quality awareness and performance of Associates necessary for attaining company quality standards.
Coordinate and direct the efforts of all team members to fulfill service responsibilities and objectives including ensuring agency procedures are followed, fostering communication concerning marketing and servicing, and promoting teamwork.
Make a positive contribution to customer satisfaction and constantly strive to improve service provided to the customer.
Communicate in a positive manner to contribute to a cohesive and pleasant work environment.
Protect the confidentiality of information learned by performing the duties of the position.
Engage effectively with the national practice group to share best practices and pain points in a manner that moves the broader practice forward.
Organize and lead regular group meetings.
Facilitates communication with analysts in all offices within the series
Prepare written correspondence, analyses, reports, and memos as needed.
Travel by automobile and aircraft and may stay more than one night and day away.
May work on special corporate projects as assigned.
Present education programs to Lockton Associates.
Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
Act as a role model to all Associates in the areas of positive attitude, performance, and leadership.
BS/BA in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, finance or related business field.
FCAS, ACAS or near ACAS
At least 4 years of commercial insurance experience. Seeking experience with workers compensation, auto liability, general liability, and/or professional lines.
Ability to compile, analyze, present, and interpret complex financial and statistical information to facilitate decision making.
Prior experience developing and maintain complex analytical models.
