Our Actuarial Internship matches qualified students with the opportunity to participate in real-world situations, obtain industry knowledge, receive on the job training, and gain career-enhancing technical skills that will foster professional growth. Furthermore, our internships are designed to provide each intern the opportunity to network with subject matter experts within the industry as you work to build your professional skills.
As a member of SageSure’s Homeowners Product Management team, Actuarial Interns will have the opportunity to assist in providing technical and analytical assessments of complex business issues related to the management of the current and future development of insurance products. Our intern will learn and use actuarial techniques in developing pricing plans.
Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science or Mathematics
Rising sophomore or higher with a minimum GPA of 3.0
Passage of one or more Society of Actuaries exam(s)
Solid analytical, problem solving and reasoning skills
Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical resources
Proficient with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
Strong technical skills, proficiency with R is a plus. Knowledge of modeling packages, programming languages, and spreadsheet/database software
Ability to work independently and as a team member
Willingness to learn
