Full-time, consecutive term, Associate/Full EMC Professor of Practice in Insurance and Risk Management and Director of the Kelley Insurance Center, starting Fall 2020. This is a 9-month position.
This position will teach a range of insurance courses and other courses supporting the School of Actuarial Science and Risk Management (SoASRM). We look for an outstanding teacher and accomplished insurance professional.
Competitive applicants will present evidence of teaching effectiveness in Insurance and Risk Management. The successful candidate will teach at both the undergraduate and graduate levels (online and in-person), and will be expected to advance the profession through outreach and service in the professional community. More specifically, this person would also be expected to work with community partners in the area of insurance, grow the Kelley Insurance Center, focusing on current trends and innovation in insurance, and provide leadership for the undergraduate minor. This person would work to maintain our designation as a Global Center of Insurance Excellence (GCIE), and work to develop Drake as a national Center of Insurance Innovation for both students and industry professionals.
