We are looking to hire a full time Business Analyst to join our Filings Team responsible for all of Canary’s rate, rule and form filings. The position includes a paid two-month long training period, during which time the new hire will be able to learn the ins and outs of working at Canary.

Prepare rate and form filings, across all lines of business, for submission with state regulators.
Use existing actuarial models for rate filing support
Assist in the development of insurance products – Includes creating the rate and rule manuals, as well as providing input on pricing.
Communicate with colleagues, clients and regulators to identify problems and research solutions
Review work of peers for errors and consistency
Required Skills and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Economic, Finance, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or a related field.
1-2 year(s) professional work experience
Excellent computer skills (advanced use of Excel) – Ability to sit at a computer for a long period of time
Highly organized, with document control and project management skills
Strong problem solving, time management and multi-tasking skills
Ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment
Experience in an insurance related field
Experience with querying, data regression, R or SQL
