Responsible for strategic oversight of the pricing, analytics and market research and development work for the division. Ensures consistent utilization of models and pricing methodology. Works with divisional leadership, underwriting, brokers, and internal business partners to develop and price profitable reinsurance deals. Drives pricing of new products and coverages. Interacts with Enterprise Risk Management to ensure that division initiatives and products fit within enterprise ERM risk guidelines and processes.
Strategic Oversight of Reinsurance Pricing and Analytics
Manages and oversees statistical catastrophe modeling and pricing development work.
Working with underwriting staff, responsible for market research and identifying profitable opportunities.
Work with internal & external resources to develop and leverage the tools needed to determine profitability and aggregation impact at the transaction and portfolio level.
Manages and provides technical guidance to a staff responsible for conducting pricing and modeling reviews.
Ensures effective coordination of the reinsurance actuarial function with other areas of the organization, including underwriting, claims, sales/marketing, accounting, finance, and tax.
Presents results of pricing analysis to underwriting leadership and reserving teams.
Collaborates with divisional leadership on reinsurance strategies.
Coordinates modeling of portfolio aggregation with the enterprise risk management team to ensure that division initiatives and products fit within enterprise ERM risk guidelines and processes.
Works integrally with the underwriting team on transaction analysis and participates in meetings with brokers and clients.

This position requires travel up to 10% of the time domestically and internationally.
Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS) or Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA)
Specialized Knowledge and Skills Requirements
Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support or service
Demonstrated experience using reinsurance software to assess, quantifying and mitigate complex reinsurance risks.
Demonstrated experience with CAT modeling and pricing reinsurance products.
Extensive knowledge and understanding of advanced financial, statistical, and actuarial analysis techniques.
Solid knowledge and understanding of complex insurance and reinsurance structures.
Solid knowledge and understanding of profitability, growth, and risk concepts.
