Responsible for developing and maintaining pricing standards and models. Provide leadership of pricing team to support transactional pricing for all of Safety National’s products.

CHIEF PRICING ACTUARY
Develop standards for pricing to ensure consistency across all products.
Maintain all pricing models to include parameter updates, algorithms, user interface and databases that store relevant parameters.
Develop and provide training on pricing models for underwriting, actuaries and management.
Maintain rate and rule filings for all products.
Develop metrics to monitor the health of each portfolio.
Analyze underwriting results and assist with management information reports.
Monitor and leverage industry trends and data to optimize pricing exercise.
Monitor industry current events and analyze data to identify new profitable business opportunities.
Provide support for planning of each of Safety National’s portfolios.
Lead collaboration among analytics, R&D, finance, claims, ceded reinsurance, and underwriting to continuously improve pricing strategy.
Provide actuarial expertise in the development of existing or new products.
Peer review the analyses produced by other Pricing Actuaries or underwriters.
Assist with underwriting and claim audits as necessary.
Assist with RMS and AIR Catastrophe Modeling analyses.
Assist with Risk Transfer Documentation.
Fellow of Casualty Actuarial Society
15+ years of experience in large specialty account pricing to include:
- Excess Workers Compensation and Large Deductible
- Specialty General Liability and Commercial Auto
- Reinsurance pricing for WC, Umb, E&O, Med Mal, D&O, and property
- National accounts
Reserving and ERM experience is a plus.
Experience with the build out of policy administration systems is a plus
