Conduct assessments of Specialty Lines (Professional and Personal) product health in support of community profitability goals, by analyzing underwriting experience using actuarial and other techniques. Develop new rate plans or changes to existing rate plans in order to better meet business goals. Coordinate and provide Actuarial rate filing support for Specialty Lines products. Monitor business results to identify any emerging trends impacting profitability. Serve as business partner to assigned underwriting teams, keeping current on underwriting/business activities and performing adhoc analyses as needed to support prudent decision-making. Serve as team leader for Specialty Lines Actuarial Analysts, providing guidance, training and supporting teammate development.
At least 10 years of property casualty actuarial experience, preferably including professional lines. At least 3 years of people leadership experience. Fellow in Casualty Actuarial Society. Some experience with predictive modeling desirable. Level of officership (Assistant VP, Second VP or Vice President) dependent upon experience.
